SECI was conferred with the Golden Peacock award for its 100 MW Solar + BESS Project in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, which is one of the largest Solar project integrated with battery energy storage system in the country. The Golden Peacock Awards, presented by the Institute of Directors, celebrate and recognize outstanding contributions across various areas in HR, CSR, energy sector etc. The awards were presented by Abdulla Ahmed Saleh, Under Secretary, Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Sunjay Sudhir, IFS, Ambassador of India to UAE, Hon’ble Justice Uday U Lalit, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Vice-Chairman, Institute of Directors, Judicial Member, Lokpal of India, Former Chairperson Law Commission of India and other senior officials of UAE in a ceremony held in Dubai, UAE on 22nd April 2025. Shri Shreedhar Singh, Additional General Manager (Projects) and Shri Ankit Agarwal, Deputy General Manager, (Projects) received the award on behalf of Team SECI. The award recognizes SECI's outstanding efforts in advancing solar energy technologies, fostering renewable energy projects, and playing a key role in India’s transition to a clean and sustainable energy future.

SECI shines bright at the 11th PSU Awards organised by GovernanceNow, by winning under the categories of Nation Building- Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship and Corporate Communications- Best Use of Storytelling. The awards were distributed at a ceremony in New Delhi in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of State Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, Ministry of Coal and Mines, Government of India and Shri Satya Pal Singh, Former Minister of State, Ministry of Water Resources, Minister of State for Education and Former Police Commissioner of Mumbai.

SECI bagged the 3rd PSU Transformation Award under the “Innovative Product Development” category for 'Firm and Dispatchable RE (FDRE) Supply to DISCOMs on a Demand Following Basis'. The award was conferred in a felicitation ceremony held on 05th December 2024 at New Delhi. The award was received by Shri Sanjay Sharma, Director (Solar) along with Shri Joshit Ranjan Sikidar, Director (Finance) and Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System) in the presence of Shri Ajay Kumar Sinha, General Manager (Corporate Planning) and other officials of SECI. SECI has introduced the innovative power supply model of Firm and Dispatchable RE (FDRE) working with several DISCOMs and States to understand their energy demands and design models that cater to their renewable power requirement.
Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna CPSU has bagged the Greentech Corporate Communication and PR Award for ‘Innovation in Public Relations Campaign’. The award was received by Shri Joshit Ranjan Sikidar, Director (Finance), Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System) and Shri A K Sinha, General Manager (CP/HR & Admin) in a ceremony organized on 09th January 2025 at New Delhi. SECI had nominated its short film under the ‘Innovation in Public Relations Campaign’ which was produced to commemorate the company’s 13 years of excellence. The movie showcases SECI’s inspiring journey of establishing itself as a leader in the Renewables space. The film is a testament to SECI’s persistence and hard work which has led it to becoming one of the youngest Navratna CPSEs.
